What is House Energy Correction?

October 29, 2018 by Malvika

Blame it on rapid urbanization or our hectic work schedule but it is an undeniable reality that we are forced to live in flats. Financial constraints also play a role in forcing us to make such a choice. Needless to say, there is no way to plan the architecture of the building as per vaastu rule. It is less likely for everyone to sell the flat and buy a new one. Therefore, let us gear up for some effective house energy correction tips.

Is an Imbalance in Panchtattva Resulting in Global Warming?

February 22, 2018 by Malvika

The entire universe, our body and even our homes are made up of the panchtattva namely fire, water, space, earth and air and it is the balance of these elements that ushers happiness, wealth and prosperity into our lives. It’s important to understand that vaastu shastra revolves around the principle of harmony and balancing of these elements.

Any imbalance of the panchtattva results in unhappy situations and problems in our lives, both mentally and physically. For instance, water, as an element is related to conceptualization of fresh ideas, thoughts and clarity. An imbalance of this element can cause a lot of disturbances in our lives. This is exactly why underground water tanks should never be located in the southern portion of the house. Similarly, the air element is associated with growth and movement and the fire element is associated with money and recognition. Similarly, the air element is associated with growth and movement and the fire element is associated with money and recognition. In fact, one of the major causes of global warming is the imbalance in the five elements.

According to a study conducted by Dr. Padmaja, global warming is essentially an imbalance of the panchtattva or the five elements. She further reinstates that the depleting ozone layer is causing an imbalance of the space element whereas our planet’s rising temperature as well as the harmful radiations that are entering the earth, are all happening owing to the imbalance in the fire element.  Her research has also helped her in concluding that the rising level of the sea water is a result of the imbalance of the water element whereas the growing menace of pollution is a result of the imbalance in the air element. Apart from this, the rampantly occurring natural disasters including earthquakes, tsunami and droughts as well as flooding are a result of the imbalance of the earth element.

Thus, there’s no denying the fact that when each of these elements are arranged appropriately in a given space, it automatically attracts positive energy, wealth and happiness. This is precisely why we must focus on balancing the vaastu of our home or office. Vaastu, when done in the right manner, can help us in creating a healthy environment as well as surroundings. In fact, by simply altering the vaastu of our home, we can detoxify our homes and attract positive vibes from all directions.

Vastu principles to design a swimming pool

December 14, 2017 by Malvika

The modern lifestyle emphasizes on planning an architecture that brings prosperity and happiness to the inhabitants. Swimming pools are no exception to be laid out according to the vastu principles. This appropriately qualifies it to be a place of cleansing and purity.

Planning out a swimming pool

Location

Preferred direction is north, north-east or east. However, central location should definitely be avoided, as it acts as the absorber of energy.

Delineating

Proper gates not only add detail to the entire structure, it also avoids any negative energy to enter the area. Further, tall boundary around it promotes energy cluttering.

Shape

A perfectly defined shape like rectangle, circle or square creates an even space for energy balance. An irregular pool creates hotspots of energy, thus making the entire construction irrelevant.

Slope

It should slope downward towards the N, E or NE  direction to ward off the unwanted energies. Regular cleaning and maintenance constantly disperses accumulated energies.

It is advisable to consult a vastu expert for adding any other feng shui article to the area, like paintings, crystals and stones. This enhances the essence of planning out a personalized area that ensures soothing vibrations.

Squeezing out the most opportune property: How to decide?

December 2, 2017 by Malvika

With Indian Property Show in Dubai round the corner, one should be prepared with the selection criteria for the most appropriate estate. Abundance of choice in real estate at the event is likely to baffle a property-hunter.

The majestic world of vastu shastra acts a perfect guide for selecting a property best suited for a holistic growth of the occupants.

Location

The geographical features surrounding a property, according to vastu shastra, should reap maximum benefits to the occupants.

Direction

Vastu principles very clearly establish the direction of a property. An east facing work space infuses energy amongst the co-workers. However, a bedroom in the same direction creates anxiety issues amongst the inhabitants.

Analysis of panchtattva

The space should be in sync with the five elements of nature for a balanced space to inhabit-either for business or residence.

Entrance

An entrance that complies with vastu principles brings wealth and prosperity for the occupants. It should be wide enough to allow sufficient light and air to enter, a symbol of welcome.

Feng shui elements

Decorating the place and programming it with vastu like symbols, shapes, lights, metals, and suitable colors adds to the vibrancy of the space, creating a harmonious balance between the various energy fields existing there.

For an expert vastu consultation, visit VOAL stall at The Indian Property Show, Dubai on 7th-9th December, 2017.

Vastu and Personality Development

January 17, 2017 by Malvika

Many people have the feeling that Vastu Shastra is only concerned with the buildings, their position, lay-out, directions etc. But truly speaking, Vaastu deals with several other things as well.

Do you know Vastu also provides useful inputs and suggests certain guidelines for personality development?

According to Indian Vastu, the science not only helps in keeping the atmosphere of the house positive and makes a positive energy home but also affects the personality of the occupants. You may now wonder how the science related to directions can enhance or deteriorate one’s persona!

According to Vastu Shastra consultant, Dr. Padmaja, each direction has specific characteristics. These characteristics reflect in the behaviour and personality of those residing in the house. For example, the north eastern direction is dedicated to water. Water has a natural characteristic of movement. The residents living in this direction adopt this special characteristic in their personality too.

Vastu expert Dubai, Dr. Padmaja suggests few dos and don’ts for developing your personality.

  • Southeast is the direction attributed to the fire element. It is strictly prohibited for living or sleeping in this direction because it increases stubbornness and aggression.
  • Again when the kitchen is situated in south east direction, then the occupants certainly enjoy progress and success. As this direction is the place of fire element, placing the stove in its rightful position increases the positive energy and the inmate also progresses successfully.
  • When people reside in the south-west, they develop personality traits like confidence, analytical abilities, leadership qualities, expressive communication and firmness in their behaviour. This is because the south-west direction is governed by the earth element which symbolises firmness and stability.
  • In Order to develop the skills and abilities of the children, it is important to have their study room in the east or north east. This place is considered pious and renders them with the much needed determination, mental strength and knowledge.

Vastu Tips For Planting Trees

December 31, 2016 by Malvika

Vastu Shastra lays specific guidelines for many aspects relating to a house like design, lay-out and even for planting auspicious plants and trees around your house. Vastu is a science that supports every guideline with a logical and scientific reason.

This article is an eye-opener regarding the do’s and don’ts for planting small plants and trees in your garden.

  • According to Indian vastu, small shrubs have to be planted in the north or east. However, the north-east corner of the house should not be blocked with as they hinder the penetration of sunlight.
  • Tall trees such as coconut have to be planted in the west or south-west and that too at a little distance from the house. This is because they hamper the sunlight completely.
  • Large trees such as banyan, peepal should be avoided near the house as their roots can damage the foundation of the house. Moreover, positive sun-rays are also prevented from entering the house.
  • Tulsi or the basil plant should be planted in the east, north or the north-east sides of the house. They are extensively used for preparing Ayurvedic medicines.
  • Vastu Shastra consultant, Dr. Padmaja advises not to plant thorny plants near the house. Cactus should be strictly avoided. All the thorny plants except the roses attract lot of negative energy. If you find any thorny plants near the house, you should destroy them.
  • Vastu expert Dubai Dr. Padmaja Yadav also suggests that the creepers should not be grown with the compound wall or the building as a support. This can damage the walls and also leads to seepage problems. A creeper can be planted in the garden using other trees as support.
  • Keeping flower pots on the compound wall of the house in the east, north-east or the north direction should be avoided. Instead they can be kept on the ground in these sides.

Do you know Vaastu colours can make your life even more colourful?

December 28, 2016 by Malvika

Vaastu colours have a great impact in our life. Colours lift our mood. Some colours inspire us while others impact our behaviour and emotions.

Vastu for home suggests different colours for different directions. Each direction is ruled by a planet. Every planet has a significant colour. This article discusses about different colours and their significance in our life. For enhancing the “Vastu” of the building, the following colours are considered to be auspicious.

Green: This colour represents nature, freshness and hope. It gives a feeling of goodness and a healthy environment. The colour is known for its healing nature. That’s why most of the hospitals use green colour. The study room of a house should be painted in green for rejuvenating ideas.

Red: This colour symbolizes power and bravery. It makes the environment emotional, dramatic and active. Because of high energising nature, this colour should not be used in bedrooms. It is not a suitable colour for people who become nervous.

Orange: This is the colour of positivity, power and spirituality. It spreads the feeling of happiness, cheer and enhances your social relationship.

Yellow: This colour represents the sunlight which is a symbol of power. It also symbolises wisdom and patience. This is the perfect colour for your prayer room.

Blue: This is a super cool colour which symbolizes growth, spring and relaxation. This is the best colour for bedrooms and meditation room.

Purple:This colour symbolizes respect, faith and trust. But painting the entire room in this colour can be overpowering. A lighter shade of purple can be more soothing and calming.

Pink: This is the colour that spreads a pure feeling. It enhances happiness and joy. It is the best choice for master bedrooms and the bedrooms in the south-west and southern direction.

Vastu expert Dubai, Dr. Padmaja strictly forbids the use of the colours black and grey because they cause lot of frustration, hopelessness and depressed atmosphere.
